This block is a variation of the Scottish Stitch in Florencia Campos Correa‘s book 100 Pin Loom Squares.
Materials
4-inch pin loom
6-inch weaving needle
needle threader (optional)
fork (optional) to pack the rows together during weaving
2 colors of yarn that look good together
Colors used in this sample:
Color 1 (C1): Caron Simply Soft “Off-White”
Color 2 (C2): Red Heart Soft “Lavender”
Standard Scottish Stitch warping:
Layer 1: 8 strands C1, 8 strands C2.
Layer 2: 8 strands C2, 8 strands C1.
Layer 3: 8 strands C1, 8 strands C2.
Layer 4: 8 strands C2, 8 strands C1.

Weaving Instructions:
Begin weaving with C2. (2 3/4 wraps around the loom for each color should be plenty.)
Row 1: Plain (P)
Row 2: P-2; U-3, O-1 (3x); U-3, P-14
Row 3: P
Rows 4-8: Repeat rows 2 and 3
***Switch to C1.
Row 9: P-2; U-3, O-1 (3x); P-17

Rows 11-16: Repeat rows 9 and 10
