In Pursuit of Perfection — or, at least, practice

Believe it or not, I don’t post every piece of artwork I make. I think you can guess why I don’t.

OK, I’m just NOT GOOD (yet) at painting faces with acrylic paint. I added the “yet” because I didn’t use to be good at painting faces with watercolors either, but I think I’m pretty good at it now. After a frustrating time with (unposted) a portrait in acrylics, I whipped out this little watercolor–just to unwind. It may not be “to die for,” but I like it. I was relaxed when I painted it and it took only a few minutes.

Adventures in Artful Pin Loom Weaving — Thread and Paint

I wasn’t sure if I should post this here or on my AIPLW blog, but opted for here. AIPLW is more for strict pin loom weaving activities. Nevertheless, I certainly could have started there and ended up here which would probably be a waste of time, so . . .

I’m working on a collage (which is remarkable since I generally have difficulty with collage) and I needed some mesh for a bird cote.

This is a sneak peak at an effects-manipulated part of the collage. You’ll have to wait for the real thing . . .
